On January 1, 2018, Vaishali and Nayan set the challenge of making a small paper animal a day. Since then, artists based in India have continued to take up this challenge and currently have 640 small paper works. Each of the miniatures is made manually and starts drawing, before going through several stages: cutting, watercolor painting, assembling … Each piece is made with precision and accuracy and requires between 4 and 6 working hours.

While the first year was more specific to birds, Vaishali and Nayan have since expanded their work to include all animals. With their small sculptures, they want above all to emphasize the beauty and importance of nature.
